Forventningens glæde. / The joy of expectation.

The Gap on a trip to San Francisco, a silk shawl made and given to me by my aunt and a pair of Wolford stockings (not in this picture, see above) that I bought on a sale half a year ago.

Tonight I have been invited to a honorary dinner at Stockholms Stadshus. It is my mother-in-law who’s invited me as she celebrates 30 years of service in Stockholm läns care for the elderly.
So at the moment I’m trying on outfits, contemplating choice of shoes and coat and generally just being in joy – looking forward to tonight. Joy is one of the things you can never be in too little or too early. Because – no matter what happens – whether things go down the drain or doesn’t turn out as you had expected – you’ll still have been in joy. You’ll still have enjoyed the process. Every step of the way. Which is half – if not more – of the adventure.
